I came to Slava for nutritional guidance during my pregnancy. I had been struggling to gain weight, and it was having a negative effect on the health and growth of my baby. I started working with Slava in my second trimester. Slava’s approach was very attentive, sensitive, and thoughtful. I never felt judged, shamed, or embarrassed while sharing my health and diet history and habits with her. The entire process of working with Slava was very uplifting. Slava developed a plan for me, which I received shortly after our session. After a few short weeks of following Slava’s plan (imperfectly, I will admit) I was able to gain weight and catch up to the recommended weight gain by my 34th week of pregnancy. My baby went from being in the 17th percentile for growth to displaying appropriate growth for gestational age. My baby’s growth continues to measure perfectly for gestational age, not being too large or too small. I am very fortunate that Slava’s first plan worked so well for me, however Slava was sure to let me know that if anything wasn’t working for me, she could help me adjust or amend the plan. I always felt like I could reach out to Slava if challenges came up with my plan.
Slava’s nutrition services are truly holistic. She will consider you as a whole person and help you develop a realistic, achievable, and enjoyable plan. Slava was also able to accomodate me as a Vegan. Slava is a nutritionist who truly cares about not only your physical health, but also your mental and emotional health.
